ANWAR VS. CONSPIRACY OR ANWAR VS. HIMSELF?

Actually, in OPEN DEBATE we are less likely to post ‘uncertain’ and ’speculative’ issues such as the statutory declaration made by Raja Petra, Anwar sodomy allegations and Anwar police report on the A-G and the IGP. These issues are more towards assumptions and wild accusations from many parties either directly involved or not and this is totally against the HEALTHY discussion concept that OPEN DEBATE upholds.

However, in the recent case on Anwar accused of sodomizing Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan, OPEN DEBATE feels that we should provide a platform for our readers to give their insights about this issue.

Two critical questions that we need to ask upon reading about this issue are:

1. Is this the conspiracy of the ruling government to topple the uprising Anwar?

2. Is this a drama script written by Anwar himself to propel himself foward by gaining more public sympathy?

• Anwar is facing the same allegations oversea?

Anwar juga enggan menjawab persoalan samada beliau membawa bersamanya Saiful dalam perjalanannya keluar negeri berikutan beberapa liputan media yang mendakwa tuduhan terhadap Anwar juga berlaku di Singapura, Bangkok dan Hongkong.

Q2. Why would an individual at such a young age wants to make such an allegation that will have an impact on his own safety and future?

Q3. Would the government benefit in any way by the new revelation? Could it be that the report is actually a liability to the government? In my assessment, the government has more to lose if it “conspire” in the latest allegations.

Q5. It was reported that incident took place in Unit 1151 Desa Damansara condominium. Earlier reports indicates that this is where MSB lives. How can a 23 years old afford to rent such a place? However a latest newspaper report says that the condo belongs to Anwar’s friend? Whose condo is it actually?

Q6. Would the police risk their reputation once again while conducting the investigations? Would Musa Hassan willing to mutilate further the already image of the police force? I have been observing Musa since he became the IGP. He has been working very hard in improving the Force image. Would he now goes back and unwind all the hard work he has done?

Q7. Off all questions, I think the most important question on the credibility of Anwar accusation that his life is under threat that he had to seek international protection. Honestly I do not believe that his life is under a threat. Anwar claims that he has evidence against Musa Hassan and Ghani Patail, then why not release it? RPK too has not released anything since the famous SD.

• Guard says he saw Anwar at the condo, however….

“Yes, I saw him enter once or twice, but this was quite a while ago. He came in a vehicle not commonly available in Malaysia. It had tinted windows. I saw who was in the car when they wound down the window to touch the card at the guard house to gain entry into the premises.”

The security guards, however, could not recall whether they had seen Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan, saying there were many residents entering and exiting the premises.

• The hospital didn’t say anything about Mohd Saiful’s medical informations after the sheck up. It shed any medical statement made by two local media. This brings us clueless again in terms of medical proofs of the sodomy act.

Hospital director Datuk Dr Zaininah Mohd Zain, in a statement issued to Bernama here yesterday, said the hospital did not release nor reveal any information, findings or made any conclusion concerning the medical examination on Saiful.

• But the police already classified this case under sodomy?!

Yesterday, Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar put to rest speculation about the investigations.

“The case has been classified as sodomy,” he told the New Straits Times, adding that he could not comment further as investigations were still going on.

• Saiful’s Uncle said, no political influence involved.

Beliau memberitahu, laporan itu dibuat oleh Mohd. Saiful secara sukarela dan tanpa paksaan.

“Ia tidak didalangi oleh sesiapa mahupun pihak-pihak tertentu yang berkepentingan politik,” kata Uncle MK.

Beliau sendiri bertanya kepada Mohd. Saiful berhubung kandungan laporan yang dibuat di Pondok Polis Hospital Kuala Lumpur itu bagi mendapatkan kepastian.

“Saya diberitahu oleh Saiful tentang insiden itu dan dia memaklumkan tiada sesiapa atau mana-mana pihak yang menyuruhnya melaporkan kejadian itu kepada polis,’’ katanya

• His friends said he is not the kind of guy as what have been reported. And he also commented that there is no indication that Saiful and Azalina knew each other. However he did not comment on the other pictures.

“We seized the chance to take a picture with her. She did not mingle with us for long and left soon after that.

“The minister also did not pay any special attention to Saiful that might indicate they knew each other previously,” said Mohd Zuaril.
